GenSan's Tabugon to fight Murachi in Japan

DAVAO CITY – Raymond “Tornado” Tabugon of General Santos City will fight Tsubasa Murachi of Japan in a non-title bout on May 19 at Fujisan Messe in Fuji, Shizuoka.

The 28-year-old Tabugon (21 wins, 9 losses, and 11 knockouts) defeated Alvin Bais by knockout in the second round on Nov. 25, 2018, at the Robinson’s Mall in Gensan.

Tabugon, however, lost to Andrew Moloney by TKO in the 4th round in Melbourne in the vacant Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) Silver and vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) Oceania super flyweight titles.

The 22-year old Murachi (3W-OL, 3KO), on the other hand, TKO’d Sheng Peng in the 5th round last Nov. 28, 2018, at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. (PNA)
