Gensan's Puton to fight Wilson in Sydney July 27

DAVAO CITY -- Undefeated Ariel "Jodda" Puton of General Santos City will fight for the first time outside the country against Lian Wilson of Australia at the Luna Park in Sydney, New South Wales, on July 27.

The 25-year-old Puton (5W-0L, 4KO) retired Jeson Berwela of Camarines Sur in the 7th round last December 28.

Puton started in 2017 with a retirement over Juan Paulo Placios of Laguna last October 6, 2018 in Muntinlupa.

He followed it with a TKO over Marlon Bacalando of Muntinlupa in the 4th round last February 10, 2018.

Puton knockout Palawan's Rex Legane in the 2nd round last April 14 and a unanimous decision (UD) win over Zamboanga's Pablito Canada last September 20.

The 23-year-old Wilson (3W-0L, 2KO) won over undefeated Brent Rice by UD to win the Australia super featherweight title last November 30.

Wilson knockout Ricky Curline in the 1st round in Brisbane on June 29, 2018.

He stopped Indonesian Iwan Sanca in the 1st round on September 22.
