MANILA – The Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup has postponed its scheduled games on Thursday.

Secretary General Chelito Caro said the games have to be called off to give way to the completion of the probe into the Lapu-Lapu-Siquijor game.

That clash was stopped at halftime with the Heroes up, 27-13.

The VisMin Super Cup announced that it was due to a power interruption at the Alcantara Civic Center which affected the internet connection at the said arena.

However, the game was met with controversy right after the stoppage as video clips surfaced of what seemed like botched plays uncharacteristic of what the players involved would do instead.

These led to allegations that there was game fixing involved in the game, prompting the Games and Amusements Board to step in as well.

VisMin Cup chief operating officer Rocky Chan will be releasing a statement regarding the investigation any moment from now as of posting.

The Mystics were supposed to meet the Talisay Aquastars in the second match scheduled for a 5 p.m. tip-off, while the Heroes are taking the Thursday off either way.

The other scheduled games have Mandaue battling Tabogon at 2 p.m. and Tubigon facing off with Dumaguete in the nightcap at 8 p.m.

However, these two will now be played on Friday night at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively. (PNA)
