MANILA – Many areas in the country will experience rain showers brought by the southwest monsoon (habagat) affecting Southern Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao, the weather bureau said Monday.

Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over the Visayas, Bicol Region, Metro Manila, Region 4-B (Mimaropa), Region 4-A (Calabarzon), and the provinces of Bataan, and Zambales.

Flash floods or landslides are likely during moderate to at times heavy rains.

The rest of the country will experience isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, Tuguegarao's temperature could reach 33 °C; Laoag up to 32 °C; and up to 31 °C in Metro Manila, Legazpi, Kalayaan Islands and Puerto Princesa.

The temperature in Davao and Zamboanga could reach 32 °C; while the temperature in Iloilo, Cebu, Tacloban and Cagayan de Oro is up to 31 °C.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will prevail over the entire country. (PNA)
