CEBU CITY – Operatives of the Talisay Police Station confiscated several packs of suspected shabu worth PHP6.9 million from a 23-year-old offender who is under probation.
Noel Petecio Jr., resident of Sitio Lawis, Barangay Pasil, was arrested at 1:29 p.m. Thursday after more than a kilo of shabu was seized from him.
Lt. Col. Randy Caballes, chief of the Talisay City police, said Petecio is listed as high-value target and has a criminal record.
The suspect was arrested in 2019 by the Sawang Calero Police Station 6 in Cebu City also over drugs but availed the plea-bargaining agreement and is under probation, Caballes told reporters.
Petecio is reportedly the direct contact of a certain “Grace” from whom he gets instructions as to where and to whom they will deliver the illegal drugs.
The suspect, according to Caballes, operates around Cebu City, Talisay City and Bohol province.
Caballes said Petecio’s name emerged during their interrogation with suspects previously arrested.
The suspect is facing drug charges and is now detained at Talisay police station. (PNA)
