Bren joins 5-team group at SEAG MLBB prelims

MANILA – Bren Esports has been grouped into a five-nation Group A for the opening round of the Southeast Asian Games (SEAG) Mobile Legends Bang Bang event.

As announced on Saturday, Bren, which will be playing under the Sibol banner, joins pro teams from Vietnam, Laos, and Timor Leste, as well as an all-star selection from Malaysia in Group A.

Vietnam will be represented by MDH Esports, while Team EVO will comprise Laos' squad, and BN Chaikery Esports will represent Timor Leste.

The Malaysians tapped RSG Slate Malaysia's Muhammad Halim, Mohammad Lim, Team HAQ's Muhammad Najmi, TODAK's Muhammad Fuad, and Red Giants Esports' Mohammad Noor.

Bren is bringing in its current roster in the Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines, David Canon, Michael Sayson, Angelo Arcangel, Marco Requitano, and Rowgien Unigo, for the SEA Games.

The other group, Group B, consists of Cambodia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Indonesia.

The Group A games will be played on May 12 with Bren opening its assignment against Team EVO before battling Malaysia, MDH, and BN Chaikery in order.

Group B play will commence on May 13.

The top two teams per group will play in the best-of-three semifinals with the winners colliding in the May 14 finals, which will be a best-of-five. (PNA)
