MANILA – Rain showers across Luzon is forecast Tuesday due to the southwest monsoon (habagat) as enhanced by Tropical Storm Guchol, formerly Chedeng, the weather bureau said.

Monsoon rains may be experienced in Ilocos Region, Batanes and Babuyan Islands. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said flash floods or landslides are possible due to heavy to at times intense rains.

Moderate to at times heavy rains may also trigger flash floods or landslides in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Bataan, Zambales, Tarlac, Pampanga and Bulacan.

Isolated rain showers due to habagat and localized thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas are forecast in Northern and Central Luzon.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
