MANILA – Severe Tropical Storm Bising continues its track away from the country and was last estimated at 945 km. east-northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon.
In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin on Saturday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said “Bising” was last seen moving northeastward at 10 kph, with maximum sustained winds of 100 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 125 kph.
It is forecast to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Sunday morning.
“Bising” is not expected to affect the weather in the Philippine landmass, with Metro Manila and the rest of the country experiencing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers brought by localized thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds headed northeast to northwest will blow over the northern and eastern sections of Luzon, fanning moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds headed northwest to southwest, resulting in light to moderate coastal waters.
The temperature in Metro Manila will range from 25°C to 33°C; Tagaytay City, 23°C to 32°C; Puerto Princesa, 25°C to 33°C; Metro Cebu, 26°C to 32°C; and Metro Davao, 25°C to 35°C. (PNA)
